I have a 57 foot STATIC houseboat/ narrowboat to rent long term. Ideally I'm looking for a tenant/s who wants to stay for at least a year+ Its an absolutely gorgeous ,homely boat with a permanent mooring on the River Soar. It is based at Redhill Marina which is working boatyard. There is a local Chandlery to pick up gas and coal and there is also an on site cafe. It is 10 minutes walk to East Midlands Train Station where you can get a direct train to Nottingham which takes about 20 minutes. It is also about a 30 minute drive into the center of Nottingham and 15 minutes to Clifton. The boat comprises of: A small room at the back which I have turned into an office but can be a small bedroom or utility space. Bathroom with a 4ft bath and shower over the bath. Sink and cassette toilet. 4x6 small double bed, wardrobe, lots of storage space. Galley Kitchen with fridge -freezer, cooker and gas hob. A living room area with multi fuel burner. Space for parking and visitor parking. It has been an absolute dream for me living on the boat with a lovely bohemian feel and lifestyle to it. Sunny evenings in the summer sitting on the back with a beer, feeding the ducks and the swans and watching the dragonflies dancing about. I once described it as feeling like I'm on holiday without having to be on holiday. In the winter I enjoyed cosy nights with the fire blazing. It cant' get better than this if you are looking for somewhere quiet but with access to the busier side of life in Nottingham if you need it. This is perfect for a single person or a couple. Rent is £600per month. The bills are very low....For a single person I pay £30 every two months for a gas bottle which heats the water and fuels the oven and hob. Every quarter you will get an electric bill which is very inexpensive. For example, over Winter for three months it came to £52 and over the months in summer it was £10 for three months. There are no other bills. Please note the boat is STATIC and you will not be able to take her up the river. No children, pets or DSS. References required and guarantors required if appropriate.
